I'm referring to KFC which is presently offering Food Trip Specials. There are three rice bowls and a Korean-inspired chicken plate to choose from.
This is called Spicy Gangnam Chicken served with a siding of coleslaw and flavored rice.
The size of the chicken is quite ample and not paltry-looking at all.
I like the spicy marination mixed with a touch of sweetness. The coating was crisp and the meat was tender. I can have seconds of this dish.

Rice Bowls are the other options in the Food Trip promotion. Of course, I wanted to try all three variants. I also didn't expect the actual dishes to be as enticing as the ones shown above.
This is how the Spanish Salpicao Rice Bowl looks like.
The flavors were alright but not memorable.
Japanese Teriyaki Rice Bowl. This didn't look at all similar to the poster.
The taste was nondescript. I wished there was more effort done to make the dish look enticing visually.
I forgot the menu name of these baby potatoes. This is also on limited offer, I think.

I had to go back another day to try the other Food Trip bowl that I wasn't able to taste. This time, I wanted to order one of the Fully Loaded Meals being offered. This meal had chicken, rice, creamy mushroom soup, gravy, brownie and a drink.
The creamy mushroom soup came in a big bowl that was shareable in size. The mashed potato was ok in taste. The brownie I only had a bite and that was it.
I opted for 2-Piece Fully Loaded Meal with an Original Recipe and the other one, Hot & Crispy.
I've always liked KFC since way back when I was still studying in college. When I would spend weekends with a friend's family, her mother would buy a bucket of the Original Recipe. I may be wrong but the chicken pieces then were much larger than the ones being served nowadays.
To relive my love for KFC, I decided to buy a bucket all to myself a few years ago. I can't recall the exact amount of pieces but it was surely too plenty just for one. It was either 8, 10 or 12 pieces. Anyway, after consuming almost all of the chicken sans rice in one sitting, I was bloated and vowed not to eat KFC for a few months. It was actually a few years before I finally went back.

The other rice bowl I wanted to try is called Italian A La King.
I was shocked with how the server presented the dish. The rim of the bowl were smudged with gravy and she didn't make any attempt to clean it up before serving.
Being a huge global entity, I'm sure that the company keeps some level of standards in terms of food presentation but the indifference that was given to my order is appalling. I will not go back to this particular branch in Greenbelt anymore.
Cost of Dishes : 105.00 each for the Food Trip: Rice Bowls, 109.00 for the Spicy Gangnam Chicken & 190.00 for the Fully Loaded Meal
